Our Land, Our Future is a documentary web series created by Mamawewin Productions and Kiciwapa Cree Nation. Through storytelling, land-based footage, and community truth-telling, the series shares who we are, where we come from, and the future we are building across KCN territory.

Episode 1 sets the foundation for the entire series — capturing not only where we come from, but our determination to reclaim our narrative, protect our homeland, honour our ancestors, and build a strong future for generations yet to come.
The episode premiered at the Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) and has since reached audiences across community, industry, and academic spaces, opening conversations about truth, land, healing, and Nation-building.
Behind the Scenes
Episode 1 was filmed across Kiciwapa Cree Nation ancestral lands, capturing the heart of our territory and the voices of our people. The behind-the-scenes reflects our values: truth, respect, care for the land, and the leadership of families whose stories guide our future.
