Kiciwapa Cree Nation and T2 Metals were honored with a prestigious joint award recognizing the significant positive impact of the Exploration Agreement signed by both parties in June 2023.

The award highlights their exemplary collaboration and commitment to fostering mutual benefits through resource development.
The recognition was presented during the third annual Reconciliation Gala, held on March 21, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The gala is organized by the Manitoba Prospectors and Developers Association and celebrates partnerships that promote reconciliation, respect for Indigenous rights, and sustainable resource development. The gala was attended by a diverse group of industry leaders, Indigenous representatives, and stakeholders, including Floyd North of Kiciwapa Cree Nation.
Kevin Norberg formally presented the award to Floyd North and T2 Metals Director, Amanda Dahl, acknowledging their dedication to building a partnership rooted in trust, shared values, and long-term vision.

The agreement between the Cree Nation and T2 Metals paves the way for collaborative exploration of a promising copper-zinc-gold project. This partnership is designed to deliver substantial benefits for both parties, including economic opportunities, community development, and resource stewardship. By working together, they aim to set a new standard for inclusive and responsible resource development that respects the cultural, environmental, and economic priorities of the Traditional and Ancestral Territory.
